Privateer Yachts was founded in 1997 with the aim of designing and producing timeless, robust and classic trawler yachts. The company's first designs were created by well-known names in the nautical industry, such as Vripack, Arnold de Ruiter and Dirk Nauta.

Privateer Yachts is known for using the best materials and high-quality stainless steel (SS) to ensure the durability, longevity and quality of their vessels. Although the vessels have a classic look on the outside, their interiors feature solid paneling and generous moldings, as well as an integrated digital media package. There are also luxuries such as air conditioning, heat reflective glass, underfloor heating and Corian tops, which are standard features on almost all of their ships.
